For more than seven decades The Mondavi family has devoted their time on the valley floor tending to family properties located in Carneros, Yountville, and St. Helena. In the last decade, Marc Mondavi added Howell Mountain to the family’s portfolio and launched their first mountain Cabernet Sauvignon.

Named after the property’s altitude and location above the valley floor, Aloft is the product of the mondavi family's  continuous passion and dedication to wine.  Truly a family brand, marc works in conjunction with his daughters to create a wine of superior quality that continues to honor the family heritage, land, and each growing season presented.

Celebrating the tenth vintage did not come without a few hiccups and hurdles, inclusive of a pandemic, fires, droughts and even a wet cool vintage.  Needless to say, ten years has taught the family grit, humility, and above all respect for Mother Nature and what the land offers each year.

2017 Aloft Howell mountain cabernet sauvignon

"An intense combination of blueberry, blackberry, and red raspberry with a hint of lavender on the nose. Our 2017 vintage is a full-bodied wine with notes of a freshly baked mixed berry pie followed by black tea and semi-dark chocolate. The tannins in this vintage are bigger than in previous years, but the palate is extremely round and well-integrated."
